What are anaglyphs used for?
Anaglyphs are red-cyan glasses worn by the patient during certain binocular vision tests. Eyeli uses them for the suppression test, stereo acuity, and phoria assessments - the app presents different images to each eye through the coloured lenses. They are single-use and disposable, so you'll need a fresh pair for each patient.
What are flippers used for?
Accommodation flippers are lenses mounted in a flip frame - one side positive, the other negative. The patient looks through each side in turn, and Eyeli tracks how quickly they can clear the image. This gives you a cycles-per-minute score for accommodation flexibility, a key diagnostic metric for conditions like convergence insufficiency.
Do I need both to get started?
Not necessarily. Eyeli includes 8 tests and many run with no additional equipment - just a tablet and a 3-metre space. Anaglyphs are required for the suppression, stereo acuity, and phoria tests. Flippers are required for the accommodation flexibility test. If you already have these in your practice you do not need to order from us.
